Student Internship FAQs Eligibility, application flow, and completion requirements

What is an internship?

An internship is a short-term practical training opportunity that builds real-world skills. Listings on the portal are reviewed by CDC before they appear for students.

Who is eligible to apply?
  • 4-year degree: student should be in the third year.
  • 2-year degree: student should be in the second semester.
  • No enrollment in any course or Final Year Project (FYP) during the internship.
  • Complete a minimum of 6 weeks and a maximum of 8 weeks in a registered firm/organization.
Do I need to log in to apply?

Yes. You must be logged in as a student to view internship details and access the official application link.

Where can the internship be done?

Internships can be completed in registered organizations aligned with your area of study. Students may choose:

  • On-site Internship (Physical)
  • Virtual Internship (Remote)

Self-found internships are allowed if the organization is registered and a reference letter is obtained from the Student Affairs Office (Career Development Centre) before starting.

What happens after I get selected?
  • Share your immediate supervisor details (Name, Designation, Contact, Email, Company Address).
  • Follow the guidelines provided by SAO or the Program Coordinator.
What documents are required after completion?
  1. Upload Internship Completion Certificate (PDF) to SAO.
  2. Submit Internship Report to your Program Coordinator/department.
  3. If required, submit the Evaluation/Feedback Form from the host organization.

Industry FAQs Posting internships/jobs and approval workflow

How do we post internships or jobs?

Create an industry account, log in to your dashboard, and use the Post Internship or Post Job section. All submissions are reviewed by CDC before going live.

How does approval work?

Company postings appear as Pending until an admin reviews them. Once approved, they show on the Home page and the Student/Alumni listings.

What if our posting is rejected?

You will see the rejection reason in your dashboard and receive a notification. You can submit a corrected post afterward.

Do we need to add an application link?

If you provide an application URL, students/alumni can apply directly. If not, the system will instruct them to contact CDC/your company for next steps.

Alumni FAQs Job access and alumni account guidance

How do alumni access job links?

Log in as alumni to view job details and application links. Links are hidden for non‑logged‑in users.

Are jobs reviewed before they appear?

Yes. Company job posts are reviewed and approved by admin before they appear on the Home or Alumni sections.

Why can’t I see the application URL?

Either you are not logged in as alumni, or the company did not provide an application URL for that job.

What if my alumni registration is pending?

Alumni registrations are reviewed by CDC. You will receive access once your account is approved.
